You’ll find excellent trout fishing at Blue River. This designated trout area is supported by a bi-weekly stocking. If you head over in November during Veteran’s Day weekend, or in February during President’s Day Weekend, you can check out one of the Blue River Association’s two annual trout derbies. Channel catfish are also stocked here regularly in the spring and summer. Other fish you can catch at Blue River include smallmouth bass, black bass, crappie, and blue catfish. You can fish the river from the shore, or by kayak. And when the day is over, head to one of the nearby campsites. There are also several public restrooms along the river for your convenience.
